Nutritional reference material
« on: November 19, 2011, 05:27:41 PM »
I am a fairly new distance learner at Bauman College.  I was hoping someone could help me with reference material.  I would like to subscribe to a nutritional magazine or journal.   There are a lot of choices and I'm not sure which one to choose.  Does anyone have an opinion about what magazine would be best.

Thanks for your help,
Tracy

Actually, for up to date research, you can subscribe to www.vitasearch.com and receive weekly research abstracts. These are mainly nutrient-related studies versus diet-related, but if it's reference material you're looking for, this is an excellent source. The British Medical Journal (www.bmj.com) is also good, as it www.altmedreview. These are all no-cost options.

As a print magazine, I like the Townsend Letter, but it's alternative medicine, which includes but is not restricted to, nutrition.

I like the Well Being Journal.  It has a lot of great articles and references to many of the subjects we study.
