Reintroducing bacteria after antibiotics
« on: March 24, 2012, 02:41:00 PM »
I recently developed a kidney infection and had to take two bouts of antibiotics.  Thank goodness the infection is gone, however, since then, my stomach has been very sensitive to all sorts of food and I often get stomach aches shortly after eating.  What is the best way to reintroduce good bacteria to my system so my stomach can get back to normal?

I would suggest finding a practitioner who has access to professional level supplements -- an NC or ND or holistic MD -- who can get you a high-dose supplement. Innate Response makes one -- Flora 200-14 -- that you take for 7 days to reinoculate your GI tract. Actually, come to think of it, students can open their own accounts with them: www.innateresponse.com. It's a special consideration to Bauman students and grads. They're a great company if you're not familiar with them. Organic whole foods supplements, mainly. Nice people, too.
