Picture Yourself!

Hi everyone!

By now, you all know what I look like, however I have yet to see many of you.

Did you know that as a student or alumni you can add a personal picture to your profile?  General members may add provided vegetable avatars.

To add a picture:  Choose the "Profile" tab on the middle of the toolbar that is almost at the top of the page.  Then under "Modify Profile" on the left side of the screen, choose "Forum Profile Information".  There, you can upload a personal picture by choosing "I will upload my own picture" and using the "choose" button to browse your computer.  Voila!  There you are.

Note: Make sure that the size of the picture (file size and image dimensions) are appropriate - 100x100 pixels or less and less than 20kb in file size. If you are uploading an original from a digital camera it may be extremely large and take a very long time to upload. Resize the image first in iPhoto, Aperture, Photoshop or another image editor and try uploading again.

For those of you who would like to remain "unseen" yet would like a forum personality OR are a general member, we have provided various veggies for you to choose under the area of "Personalized Picture".  There you choose a veggie so we can see if you are a calm carrot, a radical radish, or a zany zucchini.  Click [veggies] to find your veggie!

Whatever you choose to do, it adds more to the experience.  Try it, it's fun!

Is this feature still available?  I went to "Forum Profile Information" and looked for the link to choosing your own photo and couldn't find it... Am I missing something?

Hi there,

Make sure that after you go to "Profile" that you click on the "Forum Profile Information" link on the left side of the screen, under Modify Profile.  The place to upload your own pic is called "I will upload my own picture".  It is the third button down from the top.  I hope this helps!

i'm pretty sure i followed your instructions for posting a picture, but i cannot find a tab that let's me post my own picture on my profile. Is there a secret handshake I don't know yet? (I'm a new student!)

Welcome to Bauman College!

I am not sure what may not be working for you....I have followed the directions given and they seem to lead down the path to a profile picture.  I will call you to clear this up.

We should be "seeing" you shortly!

I'm sure that I'm on the right page to add my picture but I find no options that allow me to upload a picture in the section to choose a picture. Whats the deal?

Do I have to be a student first?

I'm new to the program and just now getting started.  This site looks like a great way to communicate.  I'm a pre-kindergarten teacher in my other life and it has been crazy as we wind up another year.  I will download a picture soon.

Denise, the directions above pretty much spell it out step by step:

To add a picture:  Choose the "Profile" tab on the middle of the toolbar that is almost at the top of the page.  Then under "Modify Profile" on the left side of the screen, choose "Forum Profile Information".  There, you can upload a personal picture by choosing "I will upload my own picture" and using the "choose" button to browse your computer.  ** It is similar to searching your computer to attach a document to an email.

Perhaps print these out as you walk through the steps.  If you still have difficulty, please feel free to call me in the Penngrove office and I will get you all squared away!

Got it!  I just didn't scroll down far enough.  Not sure of what picture I want up yet but now I know how to did it.
