Wow, I am just reveling in the good vibes that have surrounded me since last Friday. On Friday October 20th Bauman College hosted our first Distance Learning On-Site Workshop at our Penngrove facility. A wonderful group of Distance Learning students came together at our school for a day of food, community, and lecture. After a tasty luncheon, facilitated by our Natural Chef Instructor Linda Strouse, students enjoyed lectures on the topic of fats and client interview. It was a wonderful occasion to welcome our Distance Learning students into our physical school and to engage with our students, many of whom we were only familiar with through email and telephone. Thank you to all of the students who came from far off places to attend this event. The opportunity to host you at our school was our pleasure and we look forward for the next event. Cathy, our Distance Learning Administrator, will be again posting the details when they are available in the "Upcoming Events" section of the Student Resources area in the Student Community forum.
Our event was scheduled to co-incide with the National Association of Nutrition Professionals' annual conference, "Feeding a Healthy Family", which ran for the October 20-22 weekend. That two and a half day event was a wonderful way to connect with our extended nutrition community and hear great presentations on the important topic of family nutrition. Thank you NANP for putting on such an informative and important event.
